Riga Art Week (RAW) is an exciting art festival taking place from 25 May – 31 May 2026 in Riga, Latvia.

Curatorial Focus 2026

In recent years, reality has increasingly seemed contradictory, unpredictable, and difficult to explain. Political, social, and technological changes create situations in which logic seems fragile and everyday experience is full of paradoxes. Events that would have seemed impossible not long ago are becoming a familiar reality, and the line between the serious and the comic is increasingly difficult to define.

In the RAW 2026 programme, artists turn to humour, irony, and the absurd as a way to address the uncertainty, tension, and contradictions that characterise our time.

The festival programme has been curated by Elīna Drāke and Tīna Pētersone — active figures in Latvia's art scene and co-founders of RAW.
