Valda Putniņa solo exhibition "COVENANT"

The exhibition COVENANT is a conceptual reflection on the symbolic and semiotic dimensions of religion. It explores ideas of rebirth, birth, sin, and redemption, as well as the multilayered meaning of the cross. Religious motifs are not interpreted dogmatically, but as a universal system of signs that generates meaning across cultures and belief traditions. The language of colour becomes an interfaith medium, revealing shared structures and mechanisms of meaning transfer. This is a collaboration with the Latvian Academy of Arts, that is designed to inspire and support young and talented artists. The Grand Poet Hotel embodies a tremendous creative energy. By developing this collection, we not only support the innovation of Latvian art and introduce new talents from Latvia, but we also share with every enthusiast of life the story of Latvia as an inspiring and vibrant place that one longs to experience again and again.

About the hotel

The first five-star design hotel in Latvia opened its doors in January 2018. "Grand Poet" impresses with its ideal location—situated between Riga's historic center and the city’s business district.   The hotel stands out with its charm and unique interior design, which has even coined a new term: diplohemia.
