The Riga Performance Art Festival “Starptelpa” is a major event on the international art scene, annually gathering experienced and internationally recognized artists, curators, and scholars in Riga, while also providing a platform for emerging and promising talents in performance art. Now in its seventh year, it is the most ambitious festival of its kind in the Baltic States.
This year’s theme, “More Than Human,” centers on the interaction between humans, nature, and the material world.
On May 31, at K.K. fon Stricka Villa, audiences will have the opportunity to experience fifteen performances by artists from Latvia and abroad. A special highlight of the evening will be the multimedia performance-concert by the Belgian collective ALLEA(s).
