Creation begins with intention, touch, and movement. Two hands frozen in motion continuously rotate toward one another, and their trajectory forms an endless cycle of closeness and distance. The reference to Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam is direct, yet here creation is left in a woman’s hands, shifting the interpretation of the act of creation toward new dimensions of identity and authorship. In this work there is no divine hierarchy, but rather the equal presence of two creators. A right hand and a left hand revolve on their own axis like autonomous planets, and their motion resembles the hands of a clock, whose time is always precise and steady. One second contains a brief moment of meeting, after which an interval returns in which anticipation and potential prevail. The rotation spans a full 360-degree amplitude, yet contact between the two occurs at only one degree—a moment in which the intensity and fragility of the act of creation are concentrated, and at the same time a reminder of the continuous repetition of possibility. The title changes from month to month—Osculum, Basium, Suavium—and gradually narrows the distance: from a restrained gesture, through tenderness, to sensual intensity.
