"Balance" Kitty Florentine

Estonian artist Kitty Florentine will present a new performance titled “Balance” during the RAW opening night programme on Friday, 30 May, at Grīziņdārzs.

“Balance” is in motion. It is felt within the continuous waves of movement, expansion, growth and change. In this performance, Kitty Florentine explores balance in the process of motion, sound and connection, letting it reveal the feeling before the knowing - in collaboration with Viktoria Martjanova whose installation invites you to visualise and sense the mycelial web that connects our everlasting journey of arrival.

The enchanting ethereal Estonian fairy of the art, Kitty channels her boundless creativity through a kaleidoscope of expressive forms. With an uncanny ability to craft cinematic, atmospheric soundscapes and evoke emotions through her music, she's a force to be reckoned with. 

Viktoria Martjanova is a multidisciplinary artist working with audio-visual spatial installations that explore societal themes. Her work delves into questions of digital relationships, national and ethnic identity, and experimental methodologies. Through theater, film, and installations, she creates immersive experiences that challenge perception and provoke dialogue.
