The exhibition “Field of Unheard Voices” is an interdisciplinary contemporary art project that brings together professional artists whose practices include visual art and embodied practices, such as performance. The project explores the impact of collective memory, places and experiences on the formation of identity in the context of contemporary Latvian culture. At the center of the project is the question of how memory exists beyond direct experience and how it continues to influence the body, material, and space. The exhibition examines memory as a process that moves from the personal to the collective and manifests not as a linear narrative, but as a field of sensations and embodied experience. The exhibition features a variety of media and materials – clay, textiles, ceramics, bodily movement, space and sound. These elements function as carriers of memory, inside of which time, touch, and traces of human presence accumulate. The project is realized as an interdisciplinary process in which no single artistic discipline is subordinated to another.

About gallery
MASA is an art and jazz club that draws inspiration from classical salon traditions and reimagining them in a contemporary form. The art gallery primarily hosts group exhibitions built around socially relevant topics and philosophical ideas, inviting artists from different generations and geographies to reflect on them using the visual language. The artworks are closely positioned next to one another, creating a dialogue between the works and the viewer.
